Merite Serena is a four-story, comfortable building with 49 apartments and an underground multi-stall garage, where parking spaces and mailboxes for tenants will be located.
The construction of Merite Serena began on February 21, 2024, and the planned completion date is September 30, 2025.
Communication within the building will be provided through a glass stairwell, hallways, and 2 elevators.
All apartments on the ground floor will have gardens, and apartments on the floors – even several-meter balconies.
Merite Serena is an obvious solution that benefits the environment, for example: green roofs, rain gardens, solar panels, charging stations for electric cars, increased thermal insulation parameters. Over 50% of the properties are greenery.
"Merite Serena – a small building at Barbara Street 9 designed by our studio, is located on the border between residential development and single-family housing.
The architectural project was created with the idea of breaking away from typical visual and colorful surroundings.
All apartments are located to provide maximum lighting through south–east–west exposure. Large balconies create additional living space, and gardens in all ground floor apartments create a recreational space.
As designers, we do not repeat worn-out schemes. We seek solutions that enhance the visual appeal of the building. We strive to enrich the area with modern architecture, breaking the prevailing stylistic rhythm, to achieve a positive response from residents not only of the designed building, but also of neighboring buildings. The main theme for creating the building's shape was the painting of Piet Mondrian, a precursor of geometric abstraction, so characteristic Mondrian horizontal and vertical lines divide the facade and interiors into squares and rectangles."
